Dear Friends:

In the last several months I have heard from a record number of you– my friends and supporters. The correspondence has come through telephone calls and emails as well as the traditional snail mail. Each contact was a blessing. One church in Tennessee said, “We look forward to hearing updates of how God is blessing and hearing your prayer requests.” A prison ministry in Illinois that uses Anchors of the Faith said, “You have helped to lead many who are incarcerated to the cross of Christ and then to grow in doctrine and knowledge…where they can serve Christ with a new family, in a new life, in God’s Word upon release.” The young man in Louisiana who had received a tract and had become a Christian has kept in contact and was baptized on Easter Sunday and became a member of a Bible believing church in his area. God is now giving him a burden for missions. A new radio ministry in New York asked for permission to use the broadcasts A Fisherman’s 5-Minute Look at the Book and The Mariner’s Call. A telephone call from long-time friends who are battling severe health issues reminded me that their regular prayers (and yours) are the reason God continues to bless FOMMI. Thanks to all of you for every remembrance you take to our heavenly Father on our behalf (as well as your financial support).

The Bible Schools in Bangladesh, India and the Philippines are running well. The long-awaited Bangladesh election took place in February and the BNP political party formed the government as Mr. Rahman became the Prime Minister. Though many of the BNP political leaders don’t like Christianity and Western influences, time will tell. The third floor of the homebase building is nearing completion. See two photos below; more about it in the future.

India is already conducting VBS programs. They saw six people baptized after being saved through their church growth outreach which included church planters from five states. Drugs and alcohol are greatly affecting India’s families.

Fishers of Men Baptist Church in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines celebrated their annual “Thanksgiving Sunday” on March 22 in which they especially highlight the goodness of God to them. They conduct a “Family Camp” the week after that Sunday with the goal of strengthening families in the Lord.

The Escambia County Jail in Pensacola has implemented a rule prohibiting the distribution of “paper” items to inmates (citing a fire hazard). That has restricted our use of Anchors of the Faith now for several months. Pray with us that this restriction will be removed as it has greatly affected our evangelistic efforts.

No doubt Artemas II crew will have wondrous stories about their flight. “O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens” Psalm 8:1.

Sincerely,
Lenora Mund
